Don Julio Dia de los Muertos Ofrenda

LOCATION — Venice Beach, CA
AV&Co. Art directed and produced Don Julio’s Day of the Dead Ofrenda in Venice Beach, CA. The 17’ structure required architectural design and stamping and featured floral designs by Juan Rentaria (El Creativo). This project involved extensive licensing and permitting for public land use, alcohol sampling, building & safety, as well as drone/film capture.
The week-long event featured live performances by Casa de la Cultura Maya, Mariachi Omical, and tequila sampling. A standout feature of this immersive production was deep community engagement. Throughout the week, members of the public contributed heartfelt messages and offerings to honor lost loved ones, weaving together a rich and poignant tapestry of remembrance.
